As of the last entry I moved Berkeley, moved back to Tahoe, got gobsmacked by the cosmos.
Deviantart represents so many juvenile aspects of my past (some endearing, some shameful and horrifying), I joined when I was 12 and drawing fangs on hamburgers, but it also represents ties to the world of art, so I know I'll probably never truly abandon it. It's mostly a time capsule, but also a great resource. I always come back to search for fanart of new fandoms I've picked up or books I've read. I sometimes come back to check up on old favorite artists or friends.

Hoo boy.
Well, I'm still happily living in Tahoe! I took a month long trip around the country on a hippie bus and now my head is full of THINGS! Artistic pursuits have been limited to fucking around with makeup, taking touristy pictures, and doodling on my thighs.

Okay, so, rules.

1.) I'm gunning to use a small inheritence from my late grandpa to move to LA for a year and study special fx makeup
2.) I will wreck you if you try body policing people while you're around me
3.) I live in the forest and spent the entire summer at various beaches
4.) I turn 21 on September 26th and I am obnoxiously excited to gamble. There's a Queen (the band) themed slot machine downtown that practically has my name on it!
5.) I go through periods of obsessively studying philosophy and religion, but I always come back to Buddhism and Neopaganism. Actually, I just snag bits and pieces from a bunch of religions and call myself "spiritual".
6.) I've seen and been around some weird shit relating to the paranormal.
7.) Theater and comics are two of my biggest loves. I have no regrets even though the majority of the country would say they're two of the most frivolous art forms. I'd have no problem working weird retail jobs for the rest of my life as long as I could also be active in the arts.
8.) I don't start conversations with people I'm interested in. Judging from the way I usually act, most people must think I secretly dislike them. But I'm just shy. (oh gods I am so shy)
9.) Because of my suburban upbringing, my favorite places to be are either ultra urban like San Francisco, or pristine like Alaska.
10.) I love playing old person pc games and I'm a little ashamed of it! Seriously, these freaking "hidden object games" will be my downfall. Mystery Case Files 4 lyf.

2004: good times. Deviantart was a completely different place to me then. A place to obsess over my pageviews and marvel at all the wonderful artists who clearly fell out of their mothers with a prismacolour in hand. These days I still keep up with what folks are making here, but my own artistic efforts have been too big to scan, directed at my comic projects, or are too silly/smutty/personal for me to bother putting up.
I live in Lake Tahoe now. It definitely gets my hands a-twitchin', so who knows; maybe some regular activity isn't too far away!
